JSE worked with the City Engineer to design the mechanical and electrical systems for the City of Watertown Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. Significant design aspects include a new gas conditioning system, new digester gas-driven influent pump engines, new digester gas flare, and associated pump controls. All improvements lead to an energy-efficient goal of waste heat recovery and reuse in the buildings.
Replacement of two 200HP electrical driven pumps with biogas driven pumps
Design of heat capture system off from pumps
Design of biogas conditioning system
Specification of new mechanical process piping
Electrical distribution design of Biogas conditioning building and associated skids
