JSE was the lead mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineers on this very exciting and complex project.

Corning’s manufacturing plant located in Canton, NY was in need of an expansion project in order to keep up with the demand for their products that are used in telecommunications, aerospace and defense, and specialty fiber markets. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the materials being fabricated at this plant, exact and constant temperatures of the systems was crucial.

JSE was the lead mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineers on this very exciting and complex project. Some of the major scope elements included a complex exhaust system for ten annealers with large make up air units, new cooling tower for the additional annealers, duct collection system within the Masons Shop, air cooled condensing units for office spaces, air lock room at loading dock area, individual toilet room exhaust systems, gas fired unit heaters for supplemental heat when required, domestic plumbing for toilet rooms, gas piping to the new annealer locations, review of overall incoming power service to ensure adequate size for new equipment being housed within the addition, high efficiency, LED lighting with digital controls, general power distribution, fire alarm system extension for the addition, and power distribution in support of mechanical equipment.
