JSE assisted OGS and Sage Engineering Associates with the replacement of HVAC systems at the Capital District Psychiatric Center. Overall project requirements, included but were not limited to, the replacement of large air handling units, return fans, and freeze protection pumps. Close coordination was necessary between trades for space constraints and sequencing requirements. Fire alarm system modifications were designed to accommodate duct work alterations and associated duct smoke detector locations.
Project Challenges included locating existing power sources large enough and with enough spare ampacity to serve such large Air Handling Units.
