Project includes the development of a Waterfront RV Park and Resort Facility.
At full development the facility will include 280 full service sites for both RV’s and Park Model’s, a 100 slip marina and 40 tent sites. In addition the resort will include an in-ground pool, walking trails, pavilion and both chalet and park cabin rentals. All sites (including Boat Slips) are being developed to include full utility service (Electric, Water, Sewer & Cable TV access)
Jade Stone Engineering provided all of the associated Electrical Engineering for this Project. Specific design details included:
Primary Metering System – 13.2kV utility service – All coordination and application details were coordinated with National Grid – to include a phased electrical loading plan, fuse coordination study and submission in compliance with ESB 753.
Site Electrical Distribution – 13.2 3-phase distribution system around the Resort Complex. Distribution consisted of 15kV underground direct buried JCN cables, a network of loop fed transformers, pad mounted junction points and pad mounted transformers. Each site included a dedicated pedestal, and was connected to low voltage distribution panels throughout the facility.
The Facility was designed using 3 phase pad mounted junction points and dead front load break elbows – Which will allow the owner (and National Grid) to maintain a balanced 3-phase load profile as the Resort grows and continues to add electrical load.
Project Statistics: Estimated total cost of this project at Full Build is anticipated to be $9M
