JSE worked with the Village Engineer to design the mechanical and electrical systems for the Village of Pawling Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project.
Significant design aspects included a new electrical service entrance and associated gear, a new Emergency Generator System, and new mechanical and electrical systems associated with the headworks facility, SBR and aeration basins, chemical feed system, equalization tanks, tertiary filtration system, ultra-violet (UV) disinfection reactors, belt press system, influent pump station, and aerobic digesters. A new electrical underground infrastructure and a high-efficiency LED lighting system was implemented throughout the site and all facilities. A new facility-wide supervisory control and acquisition system (SCADA) was also installed.
During the project, JSE coordinated with the Village Engineer on a consistent basis to ensure the project stayed within budget and on schedule.
