JSE created the mechanical design for the renovation of 32,000 SF of office and retail space at the Watertown Urban Mission, a local non-profit organization that assists local residents who are in need due to circumstances beyond their control.
Major improvements included a heat recovery system to pre-heat ventilation air, high-efficiency condensing boilers, AHUs that utilize high-efficiency motors and demand ventilation control.
At the request of the building manager, JSE worked with a local controls contractor to develop a locally controlled, simplified building management system that would be budget-conscious, streamline maintenance, and lower owner burden.
All systems were designed to meet the 2010 NYS energy code.
